The C Class range is now assembled in India. Mercedes-Benz India today started local assembly of the new 2015 C Class diesel, the C220 CDI. The new C Class diesel was launched in India in February this year, but it was imported through the CBU route. The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class and S-Class vehicles equipped with COMAND Online will be able to work with the MB Companion App as of fall this year. Further models will follow soon. Mumbai: German luxury car maker, Mercedes Benz India has announced plans to launch C 220 CDI at its Chakan factory with a heavy localisation of 60%, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' campaign.
